Summer of 2022, I, in collaboration with the performance marketing and brand team, were tasked with creating a series of paid ads aimed at bringing awareness to new users to Reverb’s selection of new and used gear. We came up with a 3 sets of ads each highlighting a different aspect of Reverb’s gear selection affordability, inventory and vintage selection.
Creatively, I wanted the messaging of the ad to be brought to life visually, making sure that each sequence in the ad had purpose and was a literal representation of what the viewer was reading. With the help of our team’s copywriter, Maddie Rehayem, I created designed and animated sequences that were visual reflections of each line of copy. Aesthetically I wanted Reverb’s, at the time, focus on used and vintage gear to come through. I used a heavy emphasis on vintage print styles, paper grains and cutout imagery to create a vintage music catalogue feel to each ad.
